Lean Customer-Driven Development is an upcoming book in O'Reilly's "Lean Series" of books.
If you're not familiar with me (the author), you can find my blog at http://www.cindyalvarez.com
I'm looking for stories to feature in my upcoming book:
I'd love to plug you or your company, if you have an experience that others can learn from.
Do you have one of these stories to tell?
My co-founder/boss was really skeptical of customer development.
I did customer dev interviews "live" - in coffeeshops, at malls, at networking events, etc.
I used LinkedIn to find people with specific job titles or at specific companies - and got interviews!
It was so difficult to find people to talk to that I realized I wasn't solving a true problem.
I came up with a great email or voicemail template that has convinced a lot of people to agree to interviews.
I used some great hacks to get a ton of interviews in a short period of time!
I was shocked by something I learned in the course of my interviews - it totally changed the way I approached the market.
My entire hypothesis was invalidated through customer development interviews - I'm doing something totally different now.
I got a lot of positive feedback but then realized people were just being nice / were being more aspirational than realistic.
I tried 5+ different online venues before I finally figured out where my target customer 'lived'.
My company has made customer development an ongoing part of our product development process.
None of the above, but...
I could use some customer development help or advice!
How can I get in touch with you?
